Successful graduates of this program are then eligible to apply for a Possession and Acquisition Licence – Restricted.

The Canadian Firearm Safety Course (PAL) 8 hours of class time is required, must be completed before the Canadian Restricted Firearm Safety course (RPAL) can be taken. 4 or 6 hours is required.Â

The (CRFSC) is made up of lectures and hands on practical training in the  safe handling of restricted firearms (typically handguns). Prohibited firearms are discussed but no actual prohibited firearms will be used  during the practical training portion.
The Canadian Non-Restricted Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Safety Course (CRFSC) are designed to apply to the broadest possible spectrum of novice firearm users.
This course will introduce participants to general types of firearms, types of ammunition, ballistics, general safety, storage and transportation. Emphasis will be on the majority of firearms used with BC Law Enforcement General Duty Divisions and Emergency Response Teams
