Course Details

Individuals who wish to acquire restricted firearms must take the full classroom delivery of the CFSC (above) and successfully complete the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC).  Successful graduates of this program are then eligible to apply for a Possession and Acquisition Licence – Restricted.

Canadian Restricted Firearms Course (CRFSC) Content:

  • Introduction to firearms

  • Basic firearm safety practices

  • Ammunition

  • Operating handgun actions

  • Firing techniques and procedures for handguns

  • Care of restricted firearms

  • Social responsibilities of firearms owners / users

  • Safe storage, display, transportation and handling of restricted firearms
