Course Details

Mariners serving on compulsorily-fitted commercial ships (Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems or GMDSS) within the North American A1 sea areas require this course for compliance with the International Convention of Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended in 1995 (STCW 95 Regulation IV/2).

Note: Existing ROC certificate holders who take a valid (1999 or earlier) certificate to class, are required to attend the last two days of classes only (NAU 041). Canadian Power & Sail Squadron certificates do not meet this requirement.

You must present this certificate when registering. Persons without an existing ROC certificate must attend all three days of classes.
