History
Starting out as a one woman show in June of 2013, Katrina Mendenhall opened the doors to a new and exciting chapter in her life known as Spartan Consulting & Safety, LLC.
Katrina has been in the Oil & Gas industry since 2006, specializing in crane operator training, and was ready to go solo with her expertise and live the American dream of running her own business.
Spartan has since added more products and services including a line of safety supplies and services available to their customers. Our reputation, expertise, flexibility and high quality service is what keeps our customers happy and coming back time after time.
Spartan plans to continue pushing forward and expanding, to keep providing our local community with all their crane operator and safety training needs, not just today but as regulations continue to change into the future.
This course is hands-on and not recommended for individuals who do not enjoy working at heights. Many advanced skills put the technician in elevated positions to complete the scenario.
The Rigging and Material Handling Safety Course covers the proper procedures and controls to ensure safe work practices for rigging loads. This course uses real-world examples to enhance the understanding of diverse requirements under 29 CFR 1926 Subpart H standard.
This course is designed for individuals interested in training qualified riggers. The course places special emphasis on ANSI/ASSP Z490.1 which provides guidance on how to manage overall safety training programs.
Our Rigger course is designed to prepare qualified candidates for CCO Certification Exams. In this class candidates will learn how to perform simple, repetitive rigging tasks when the load weight, center of gravity, the rigging, and rigging configuration are provided or known by the rigger.
Rigging Assessment course is offered by Austin Safety Council. ASC is the safety training and occupational health facility specifically serving Austin. We create, manage, and deliver customized training for the industries powering the city’s growth.
