This course is a requirement for an individual – who is not a licensed rigger or a designated foreman of a licensed rigger – to supervise the hoisting or lowering of articles on the outside of a building with hoisting equipment. In lieu of completing this course, an individual may instead possess a department approved national rigging certification.
To continue to supervise & use hosting equipment in New York City, the designated Rigging supervisor must successfully complete this 16 Hour Rigging Supervisor Refresher Course four years following completion of the 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor Course & every four years thereafter. Upon completion, students will receive a photo ID card, valid for 4 years.
