Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:
Rigging Fundamentals is an Entry-Level course. Trainees develop the skills to conduct inspections, safely secure loads, communicate and operate lifting devices such as cranes.

This 1-day Rigging Fundamentals Course combines classroom experience with hands-on training.
In-class, participants learn relevant provincial and federal rigging regulations, rigging terminology and working load limits.
In the hands-on portion the instructor demonstrates proper operator procedures, including inspections of rigging equipment, knot-tying, determining load weight and center of gravity, and proper communication on the worksite. Trainees must pass a written exam and demonstrate proficiency in a hands-on practicum to receive their certificate.
