Introduction
This course aims to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and competently enter and work in confined spaces.
These skills are applied through written, discussion, questioning, role-plays and practical application for the industry specific units of competency RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces & MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres.
Training delivery combines blended delivery learning via the Loadwise Australia online teaching platform and onsite face-to-face delivery via Trainer led practical sessions.
Students are provided with a Loadwise Learner guide and current copy of the WHS confined spaces ‘Code of Practice’ that details all current best practice guidelines for Confined space entry. Additional material will be made available during training sessions if required.
The course also provides students a pathway that can lead onto further qualification in Certificate II in Civil Construction
Pre-Requisite
There are no unit pre-requisites for the Confined Space Entry course however Learners must be physically able to perform the practical activities involving confined space entry.
These activities may range from donning a fall arrest harness to climbing down a vertical ladder system and performing light tasks within a confined space. Contact our office for clarification if required.
