Risk Assessor Course

After 20 years as a Health & Safety Professional working in the Construction, Engineering, Marine and Facilities industries, mainly for medium to large organisations in senior positions.

Glen decided that he wanted to support organisations in diverse industries and with unique challenges to keep their employees safe and to support those organisations in legal compliance and improve their operational performance. 

What frustrated Glen in the above role's was when he needed the support of specialist consultants there would be this reluctance to identify a solution related to the problem. The normal conversation with the specialist consultant went along these lines (Consultant) "It's not for me to fix the problem, that's the responsibility of the management. 

(Glen) I appreciate that, but I knew what the problem was when we hired you, what I want, and need is your knowledge and expertise to help identify the solution" this attitude and response used to drive him mad. So, when Glen decided to set up Carlin Training and Safety, he promised that would not be the mindset for working with companies. 

Since starting the business in January 2020 (at the start of Covid) we have worked with a fantastic and diverse range of industries and unique businesses. We can confidently say that we have established great relationships and long-term clients. 

We pride ourselves on maintaining clients through retention, this is due to customer service, honesty (we say it as we see it - from this truth we can work with you to reach a solution) and our integrity (to deliver on what we promise). Many of the customers we have gained since we started have been through word of mouth and referral (which is really humbling). 

Glen is the founder of the company and very active in the day-to-day operations and ensures that the company remains on point to ensure our support and service offering, is designed to empower your team and your unique business. 

We are a family-based firm. Natasha manages all Training enquires, Megan supports in the office and Aiden is a specialist Fire Risk Assessor. We recently upgraded our premises for the 2nd time since Carlin was established each time getting bigger and improved facilities and can now boast training facilities and offices in a beautiful location in Lockerley, Romsey.
