Upon Completion
Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and wallet sized card for:

• PUASAR024 Undertake Road Crash Rescue

• PUASAR022 Participate in a Rescue Operation

This nationally recognised road crash rescue course provides the knowledge and skills required for those who may be required to undertake road crash rescue operations as a member of a road crash rescue team.

This unit covers the competency required to gain access to and extricate entrapped casualty/s from vehicles travelling on the road such as cars, motorcycles, buses, trucks and semi-trailers while minimising the potential for further injury and preserving the integrity of evidence.

Prerequisites:

Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) or equivalent Qualification.

Assessment:
Participants must have the ability to read and write English and be able to perform practical and theoretical assessment as required.

• Rescue Equipment in a range of situations (cutters, spreaders, rams, airbags etc.)

• Remove casualties from entrapment

• Conclude road crash rescue operations
