Road Safety

The qualification RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction – Road Construction is designed for operators working in civil construction, including road construction, planning and carrying out civil construction tasks, and applying workplace health and safety.
 
This qualification provides training across 26 units of competency, including eight (8) core units, and 18 elective units.  Participants may select elective units that are relevant to their workplace and position.

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, however participants require the necessary language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete each specific unit of competency.  SWQ Training will assess each participant upon enrolment to determine any support requirements.

Workplace Training and Assessment.  The majority of this qualification will be delivered via workplace training, with participants signed on to a logbook/training record book, working under supervision of a suitably qualified person.

 A Workplace Trainer/Assessor will visit the workplace every 1-2 months, to conduct assessments and initial training for commencing units of competency.

NB. Participants undertaking an apprenticeship through User Choice are required to keep their Training Record Book onsite as evidence of their workplace training activity.
