This is a practical based course with some basic theory and will teach delegates how to set up and program industrial robots on a range of operating systems. Delegates will also learn how to maintain and look after industrial robots cells to help minimise wear and reduce downtime.
Course Content
Robot health and safety & Basic operation – working safely with robots and automated cells.
Robot jigs & tooling – set up and use jigs and tooling to achieve accurate repeatability.
General robot programming theory and practical – learn to program a range of common robots.
Returning to service after a stop in production – learn how to safely re-start a system after a stop.
Robot maintenance – learn how robots work, how to look after a robot and some basic fault finding techniques.
Our Story
Make UK champions and celebrates British manufacturing and manufacturers. Together, we build a platform for the evolution of UK manufacturing.
Britain is one of the world's biggest manufacturing nations. Almost 3 million people work in our sector and deliver almost half of all UK exports. Our companies drive over 60 percent of all UK research and development. As a result of that investment, manufacturing as we know it is changing, adapting, and transforming each and every day.
We’re at the cutting edge of innovation; leading the way in developing skills and driving competitive advantage for the UK.
What we do
We stimulate success for manufacturing businesses, helping them to meet their objectives and goals. We empower individuals and we inspire the next generation.
Our three-day BCS Foundation Award - Smart Products, Robotics And Automation training course is designed for those wishing to gain an understanding of the role of robotics and automation in the workplace.
With RoboThink’s exclusive robotics kit and our STEAM curriculum that is NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) aligned, your kids will have a blast learning STEM with RoboThink’s robotics programs.
Learn to design, plan and build a web page on this interactive, six-week course. Develop your technological skills as you complete practical tasks and build your coding confidence.
With a range of progressive programming languages, everyone can get to grips with robotics in our fun, engaging and educational robotics workshops.
In this training, you will first discover the critical difference between process automation and robotic process automation. In process automation, you must provide the computing/automating system input to execute a job/function.
