This course focuses on the engineering design process, building and programming using LEGO. Advanced extensions generally provide additional design, programming and building opportunities.
Learn the basics of robotics and coding. Students will build and program robots which they will use to complete a series of challenges. Students will discover an easy-to-use programming language that lets students immediately begin simple robotics programming and then advance into developing more complex algorithms.

What Students Learn?
Every young person deserves to learn the STEAM and professional skills that will future-proof them for the industries of the 21st-century. SFK Academy offers a range of after-school and holiday programs.
Among Game Design, Robotics, Programming, Digital Illustration, Animation, Graphic Design, Photo editing and Photography. The variety and practical nature of the courses provided, give our students a meaningful introduction to technology aiming to develop their analytical and problem solving skills.
Designed with 21st-century skills in mind, courses at SFK Academy focus on helping students apply broad skills such as creativity, collaboration, and communication to overcome challenges.
During an after school or holiday camp program, students are encouraged to work with their peers while exploring different approaches to problem-solving.
Children will be introduced to Robotics where they will learn how to code and program an Edison Bot robot using block based code.
Ozobot Robotics is an extension of block coding. Learn to program, control and automate robots with coding blocks. Ozobots are clever little robots that can detect various colours on the surface of its tracks. It can follow lines, avoid maze walls and flash various coloured lights.
Introduce your little ones to the exciting world of robotics and coding with our Robot Newbies class! Designed for children who are 5 years old, this class nurtures their logical thinking, fine motor skills, and basic coding abilities while fostering a fun and interactive environment
We offer a range of practical training courses that focus on what we believe are “up-and-coming” core technologies; such as mixed reality, autonomous control, drones, the Internet of things to name a few
In this course, students will explore the high-level, general-purpose programming language Python (NOT BLOCKS), covering structured (particularly, procedural), object-oriented, and functional programming. With 9 lessons per term, students will engage in hands-on learning
