Training and Assessment Course

  • One participant per machine
  • Lots of practical experience
  • Flexible booking dates

 

Assessment Only

(Experienced Operators)

  • 4 hour assessment

  • Must complete a declaration of experience

  • Flexible booking dates

 

VOC – Verification of Competency Assessment

  • Flexible dates

  • Onsite assessments

  • Can be done in conjunction with a ticket/qualification, or

  • Participants must hold a ticket/qualification

 

What you will learn

This module will provide you with the basic skills, knowledge and information to safely operate a Roller.

 

Participants will be able to:

  • Drive and operate a Roller safely

  • Machine and General Safety

  • Road Construction Terminology

  • Parts of the road

  • Identify Soil Types

  • Compaction and Density

  • Pre-start Inspection

  • Start-up and Shut-down Procedures

  • Operating Procedures

  • Basic Roller Positioning

  • Consolidating materials

 

What you get at the end

On successful completion you will be issued:

  • Notice of Satisfactory Assessment

  • Statement of Attainment 

  • Wallet sized ‘duty of care’ card.

  • Steel capped boots
