This Rope Rescue training course is not a standard course. It has been designed to cover some basic and/or advanced rope rescue techniques and methods. We have identified that there is a lack of rope rescue courses such as this for workers within the high risk industry.
The course does not come with NZQA credits, however, students who are deemed competent at the end of the course will be issued with a Skill Lab Certificate of Competency (COC) card and certificate.

Duration and course size
The duration and maximum numbers of people on the course will depend on your requirements and the complexity of the course content. We prioritise keeping everyone safe and maximising the best learning environment. A good instructor to student ratio is important especially if you would like to run through complex situations.

???????At the successful completion of this course people credited with this unit standard are, for a specified job, able to: prepare a work method statement; undertake a job safety analysis; and develop safe operating procedures.
Accidents which result in injury, death or loss are almost always preventable. An accident may indicate that current safety plans and control of hazards are inadequate or ineffective.
This course is aimed at ensuring people working with forklifts can understand and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attributes for all essential areas covered under the full “best practice” guidelines in the workplace.
At the end of the course, successful participants will receive a A4 certificate and a wallet-sized certificate which remains current for 3 years. We’ll send you a reminder near the end of the 3 year period to let you know it is time to re-do the course to maintain currency of training.
Having operators formally trained means the Employer complies with WorkSafe NZ Health and Safety (OSH) requirements for the workplace and NZ Transport Agency requirements. The course consists of theory and practical assessments for a Forklift.
