Hemant Industries was founded in 1971 by an entrepreneur Dr. P.T. Shah with a view to serve this Nation by manufacturing, Import Substitution Items and thereby saving foreign exchange of the country.

The company served majority of the industries like IPCL, GSFC, IOC, L&T, Tata Chemicals Ltd., United Phosphorous Ltd., GACL, and many more industries in and around Baroda.

His hard work, dedication, commitment and clean approach earned him a steady growth not only in business but also earned lot of name and respect as an individual in the society and industrial setup.

With his profound knowledge, experience and skill, he not only executed and engineered the work, but also induces the aspects of Safety in Engineering works and leadership qualities.

A Humble Begining

In the early seventies, there was a considerable momentum in the Industrial scenario and with the fast development of technology and the need of the day, lot of Industries were setup - some with foreign collaboration and some indigenous.

With the rapid growth, a need for small-scale industries was observed to render the services to the large and medium scale Industries.

Also it was felt necessary to set up units with technocrats, who could make equipment under Import substitution and thus save on lot of foreign exchange outflow of the country.

During this time, Dr. P T Shah - who was then a Sr. Prod. Engineer and working under the able leadership of Shri Nanubhai Amin at M/s. Jyoti Ltd., Baroda, took a leap forward and set up a small-scale industry at GIDC estate, Makarpura road, Baroda named as Hemant Industries.

This was with a long sight and vision to provide services to the Industry and the up growing Nation India. With his experiences at Tata Chemicals Ltd., Sayaji Iron and Jyoti ltd. and his continued exposure to various section of an industry and the iniquity of learning and in-depth study, he rendered his services to large and medium scale industries in and around Baroda and the whole of Gujarat state.

He worked on manufacturing and fabrication of equipment and more on Import substitution items. At Hemant Industries apart from Import substitution items, the products manufactured were Ball valves - which were supplied to the Baroda Municipal Gas line project - first of its kind in Gujarat.

And also supplied to many large and medium scale industries.Needle valves, 3 way and 5 way manifold valves, Vernier Manometers - for instrumentation applications in industries.

Safety, was the prime objective of the company and its proprietor Dr.P.T.Shah is also a renowned safety consultant and their associate concern Shanti Consulting Engineers are into the Third Party Inspections, Inspections under PESO Norms, SMPV(U) Rules and Petroleum Rules, Inspections under Factory Act.

As the need rose, the company slowly switched over to the various products on safety and thus started manufacturing Air Movers, Flange Guards.

The good reputation of providing quality service and good setup gained them the esteem approval of the Department of Explosives, Government of India, Nagpur, for the manufacturing of the safety fittings.

With the total inhouse available infrastructure of design, manufacturing, raw material inspection, testing benches for all the products, the company started its commercial production for the various fittings under PESO Regulations in1997.

With ongoing days, the company setup standard procedures for manufacturing of the products of high standard-quality wise as well accuracy wise. Hemant Industries and their sister associate is known for their prompt, efficient and clean services.
