During this 1/2 day course, Learners will develop a greater understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults. Topics covered include: safeguarding and protection responsibilities, different forms of abuse and how to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse.
This course is suitable to provide a general awareness of safeguarding and prevent duty responsibilities in post-16 education including FE colleges, independent training providers and corporate training environments.

What is abuse and who is a vulnerable adult. Provide an understanding of the forms and types of abuse; learn some of the signs of possible abuse and the role of the carer if abuse is suspected.
