This NYC 8-Hour Site Safety Coordinator course is a condensed version of the 40-Hour Site Safety Manager Course for those who are interested in registering as Construction Superintendents, Site Safety Managers, or seeking Site Safety Coordinator licensure. Site Safety Coordinators are required for overseeing safety on projects up to 14 stories.

In order to acquire a Site Safety Coordinator Certificate in New York City, the applicant must meet certain qualifications, such as being a Registered Architect, a Licensed Engineer, or having at least 5 years of construction supervision and safety experience, including 3 years of supervising major buildings.

Additionally, the applicant must complete and submit to the Licensing Unit a certificate of completion for an 8-hour training program, as mandated by the NYC 2014 Construction Codes.
