DurationThis course is designed for those interested to be a certified Safety & Health Officer by DOSH. During the course, participants will learn to evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risk at the workplace following OSHA 1994 & BOWEC REGULATIONS 1986 requirements.
They will perform a practical exercise to inspect construction sites and to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations as required by the law which includes aspects of handling and storage of hazardous substances etc.
?Pursuant Section 29 (2) of OSHA 1994, there is a need for an employer to employ a competent person to act as a Safety and Health Officer at the workplace.
The Safety and Health Officer’s job is to ensure compliance with the Act and promote the safe conduct of work at the workplace. This program has been designed to address the needs of the Act and specifically the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1997.
