The aim of this course is to enable a trainee to identify criteria where the Safety Observer (SO) is required to control, monitor and maintain safety for activity; hazardous environments and activities requiring safety observer control; the safety observer responsibilities; and emergency response measures.
At the successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to:

Identify criteria where the safety observer is required to control, monitor and maintain safety for activity
Identify the safety observer responsibilities
Identify emergency response measures.

Wheels Tracks & Rollers (WTRs) Course training is offered by ASWEFA. You can just do the course for Wheels or Roller or Trackes. However, often the same regulations apply so it is great value for money to do all three.
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of: - types of EWPs, their suitability for purpose; and safety features; and - industry requirements in relation to legislation and the BPG, and the use of EWPs.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be provided as necessary where hazards and risks remain present or encountered that are capable of causing injury or impairment other controls have been considered and implemented.
This course is aimed at ensuring people working with mobile elevated work platforms can understand and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attributes for all essential areas covered under the full “best practice” guidelines in the workplace.
A confined space is any area that is not intended for human occupancy, has limited access or has the potential to contain a toxic or oxygen deficient atmosphere. Training is necessary for supervisors, stand-by-people, workers entering confined spaces and rescue personnel.
