The fundamental level class is an 8 week series for the absolute beginner with little to no experience.
Beginner 1 is for people who have no prior experience. This class will introduce you to the basic steps of the dance and fundamentals of partner dancing. We go over the basic, right turns, alternating turns and cross body lead.
The Salsa is the ‘street name’ for a sexier and more kicked back interpretation of the Mambo. Consisting of the same basic step patterns, the Salsa is the Mambo with a few tricks taken from the Hustle.
Both spirited and sultry, Salsa is one of the most popular dances on the social scene. Characterized by sharp spins and sensual hip motion, salsa dancing makes both a great date night and an awesome way to meet new people.
Salsa is danced at nightclubs across the world! Salsa music and dance were born in Cuba in the 1900s. Visitors to Cuba fell in love with the music and dance expanding Salsa to the United States. Salsa was further developed in the 1960s by Puerto Ricans living in New York
