Offering group classes for only $10/class, dance parties, workshops, social events, showcases, outings, and new students receive their first private lesson for just $20.
Salsa Dance Classes are offered by Chevy Chase Ballroom for all ages and skill level. The moment you step inside, you’ll feel at home. We believe it’s all about passion…we add that spark, an electric joy to your everyday experience.
Our Salsa group classes are not like traditional group classes where a the teacher stands at the from of the class and demonstrate concepts to a large group of students, never really giving personalized attention.
Hans teaches a progressive style salsa class which helps every dancer learn as the class progresses. We always start from the most basic steps for our new dancers at the beginning of class and then progress into different patterns and ideas as the skills improve.
The Salsa is the ‘street name’ for a sexier and more kicked back interpretation of the Mambo. Consisting of the same basic step patterns, the Salsa is the Mambo with a few tricks taken from the Hustle.
There is an introductory Salsa/Bachata class around 9:15pm. We feature several floors: Salsa, Tango, Ballroom. Feel free to try them all!! We will notify you if we need to change the dates of the dances.
