SATs are Standardised Assessment Tests administered by primary schools in England to children in Year 6 to check their educational progress. Most secondary schools look at Year 6 SATs results as part of the decision process when grouping students into sets or streams.

The purpose of these tests is for teachers and schools to measure what each child has understood and retained by comparing their results to national averages, Individual results can be shared with parents at the end of the school year.

Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) in English, Maths and Science take place as your child goes through school. The results help teachers, parents and students understand their progress. There is no pass or fail, and they are not indicators of future grades in other public examinations.

We cover the whole Key Stage 2 syllabus, including comprehension, reading, writing, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, spelling and maths. Our tutors have access to several SATS past papers and other sets of SATS mock exams to ensure your child has practice before sitting their SATS exams.
