About Us
A good education is one of the most important gifts you can give to your child. In the highly competitive environment of grammar school entrance tests, we understand the importance of finding an experienced, quality tutor. Our team will help you make the right decision about your child’s educational future and tailor our services to meet your child’s needs.
We are a small team of experienced tutors who specialise in delivering high quality tuition to prepare children for 11 plus exams in and around Manchester.
All our tutors are qualified teachers with several years of teaching experience, who have been fully screened and DBS checked. We ensure each session is individualised, enabling your child to develop the skills he or she needs in order to succeed.
We will first discuss your child’s ability and needs over the telephone, before arranging a time for a one to one assessment of your child’s current level. This will give us an idea of the key areas we will need to focus on and we will develop an individual action plan for your child.
We take pride in offering a range of specialist services:
Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) in English, Maths and Science take place as your child goes through school. The results help teachers, parents and students understand their progress. There is no pass or fail, and they are not indicators of future grades in other public examinations.
Standard Attainment Tests (SAT) give parents some idea of how well their child has done in Key Stage Whether your child’s ability is below the standard of the pre-key stage or working towards the expected standard, we can help them improve their ability to a greater depth within expected standa...
There are also small group revision classes including GCSE, SATs, 11-plus and Year 6 - 7 transition. Every opportunity is used to create a successful learning environment. Students benefits from a varied approach including independent learning and one to one tuition by qualified, experienced Centre...
SAT Preparation Course is offered by Academy International. We are able to offer students extra tuition from an early age, which will give them a huge advantage as they take their first steps in education.
SATS are the compulsory exams taken by 7 and 11 year olds at different stages of the primary school curriculum in years 2 and 6 respectively. A score of 100 means the child is working ‘at the expected standard’ for a Year 6 child. 80 is the lowest possible score and 120 is the highest.
