Course Details

In this course, you’ll learn how to effectively use Reflexology Wands to enhance your treatments. These tools can help you apply greater pressure and ease the strain on your hands, all while maintaining the core principles of reflexology.

You’ll discover how to incorporate the wands into your sessions, allowing you to target a wide variety of reflexes and areas on the feet. Importantly, you’ll still be able to feel the reflexes as you work, ensuring that the quality of your treatments remains high. Explore the different ways to integrate these wands into your practice and elevate your reflexology sessions.

The course also includes instruction on how to use bamboo squares to wrap the feet. Not only do bamboo squares provide a comforting way to keep the feet warm during treatments, but they are also a more cost-effective alternative to traditional towels, significantly reducing washing costs.

This blended course is made up of two sections:

  • Online learning

  • Individual tutorial

Online Learning

The online portion of this course is organized into ten modules. Each module guides you through the essential concepts using a combination of text segments and instructional videos, ensuring a clear and engaging learning experience. The modules are:

  • Introduction

  • Pressure

  • Wands

  • Contra-indications

  • Techniques to use your wands

  • Working reflexes

  • Introducing the wands to your clients

  • Wrapping the feet

  • Aftercare advice and

  • Contra-actions

  • Marketing your treatments using wands.

Once you are happy with the techniques, you are ready to move onto the second part of this course, the tutorial.

Tutorial

Once you have completed the online course you care ready for your individual tutorial. This is to answer any questions you have about using the wands, as well as checking your technique. Tutorials can either be via Zoom or can be carried out face-to-face in Bursledon, at our first floor treatment room.

You will need to provide a client for your tutorial, which is generally between 60 and 90 minutes. The first 15 minutes is for you to ask any questions you have, after which you will bring in your client and work through the main reflexes. Once this has been completed we will issue you with a certificate.
