At Murphy Woodwinds, we pride ourselves in making the process of learning an instrument exciting and fun.  No matter which saxophone you play, we can help you reach your goals!

For beginning students, it's all about exploring the wide range of music available to the instrument, while still focusing on good technique and fundamentals required to build a solid foundation.

Building player confidence is the main goal of intermediate-level lessons.  Becoming more comfortable with the technical aspects of the instrument, as well as performing, will create a more competitive, assertive musician.

The development of personal sound and style is integral at this level, and preparation of audition material (for chair placements and university/college entrance) will be a primary focus.

Advanced lessons revolve around helping the player refine their sound and style in preparation for a career in music, focusing on jazz performance, improvisation, and developing commercial and show sounds.
