Scaffolding Awareness Training is a program designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely use and work on scaffolding structures.
Scaffolding remains one of the main pieces of equipment that is being used largely by the construction industry to allow workers to work at an elevated height. Due to their robustness and simple use, scaffolds can be erected to a height that is considered very hazardous to be working on.
Therefore, it is very common that fall-from-height incidents at the workplace are largely contributed to by falling from working on the scaffold.
The training aims to raise awareness of the potential hazards associated with scaffolding and educate participants on best practices for the setup, inspection, and use of scaffolding systems.
Training Contents
The training should cover, but not be limited to, the topics below:
An overview of the different types of scaffolding systems commonly used in construction and maintenance work.
Familiarization with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing the design, erection, and use of scaffolding structures.
