We are a London and South East based tuition agency and centre. We offer private and group tuition in all subjects including maths, English and science. We tutor all levels and ages for general tuition, exam preparation, homeschooling and in-school tuition. Our tutors can come to your home or school.

Who We Are

Trusted Tutors is the story of 3 best friends and their families. The three owners, Dorothy & Scott Milton & Natalie Milsom, go back more than a decade.

Dorothy started right out of university into teaching in schools as well as teaching English as a Foreign Language abroad and has kept teaching both in schools and privately for the last 30 years.

She has tutored so long she can basically tutor in her sleep and she has gone on to training tutors and implementing English language and phonics programs into schools as well as setting up study groups in both Scotland and England. 

Both Dorothy and Natalie have experience with the National Curriculum in all Key Stages. Dorothy worked in the area of curriculum development at a Primary and a Secondary school and Natalie worked closely with the Headteacher of an alternative provision, overseeing the delivery of lessons as a Business manager.

Both of them worked continuously to improve standards at each level of the curriculum. This experience has proved invaluable for Trusted Tutors in our current work with schools and in creating effective homeschool programs for children in coordination with their parents and often with their school. Our homeschool programs and delivery have been Local Authority approved. 

Natalie is equally passionate in education and has worked in schools as well as setting up a tutoring agency of her own before combining forces with Scott & Dorothy. Natalie is praised as the student whisperer since working in a school for troubled students where she acquired the rare knack of turning any failed and forgotten student into a success.

When Dorothy’s administrative and finance wiz son pitched the idea of a joint force effort to educate the world it was only natural then that we all started to work together – and so Trusted Tutors was born.

Whichever one of our tutor arrives at your door, you’ll get the same trusted confidence that you hoped for. This is brought about through our in-house training programs which ensure our tutors are trained in safeguarding, in data protection, in our quality control systems and in ensuring they have all the tools for effective tutoring.

Trusted tutors are also handpicked for their interpersonal skills because we know how important it is that they can build a relationship with their students. We also ensure that each tutor knows their subject and they can immediately ascertain what the child needs and write an exact tutoring program that suits the pace of that particular student.  

As you can see, we’re quite specific in our approach and tutor method and because of this we’re especially good at it. We have always taught with a focus on application as a result of learning rather than learning only for the sake of  tests or grades. Luckily high results in both grades and testing are an added plus of this but success in life after schooling is the real prize.
