Who Is This Course For?
This course is for anyone who currently holds an EWPA Yellow Card Operator Licence (EWP) for Scissor Lift and wants to be verified as competent in the safe operation of a Scissor Lift EWP.
It is also for employers who wish to verify & ensure that their employees are suitably competent in the safe operation of a Scissor Lift.

The course allows students to prove to employers they are still competent and have knowledge of current industry regulations. The VOC allows workers to increase their chances of employment and cover any legal requirements the work may involve.
About the Course
This Scissor Lift VOC course is based on a national standard for Scissor Lift operators, and consists of both a knowledge assessment, as well as a practical observation assessment.
The theory assessment task requires you to complete a written or verbal response knowledge assessment involving several short response questions.
The questions within this assessment relate directly to the safe operation of a Scissor Lift EWP and are fundamental to your ability to perform workplace tasks correctly.
The assessment is conducted in a classroom setting directly supervised by the assessor. Your assessor will re-train you on any gaps in your knowledge that become apparent.
The practical assessment task requires you to demonstrate your skill and knowledge in operating a Scissor Lift EWP, including pre-start-up procedures involving hazard identification and prevention, pre and post operational checks, taking the Scissor Lift through its full range of motion and capabilities, and shutting down and securing the machine upon completion.
The assessment is conducted in a designated area which simulates a realistic workplace. The assessment is directly supervised by the assessor, and they will re-train you on any gaps in your knowledge/skills.
