Our aim is to prepare the student for progression into Secondary 3 in which he will have to choose Pure and/or Combined Science in the 3 disciplines of Science – Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Our Secondary Science Tuition is available for Secondary Levels 1 to 2.
Our aim is to prepare the student for progression into Secondary 3 in which he will have to choose Pure and/or Combined Science in the 3 disciplines of Science – Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Naturally, all 3 disciplines will be covered in our Secondary Science Tuition Programme.
Secondary School Science:
Secondary 1 and 2 Science continues with the themes learned in Primary School Science except that greater depth is covered and more application to daily living is expected from the student. Themes encountered in the PSLE syllabus – Diversity, Systems, Interactions & Energy are greatly expanded upon.
The typical student new to Secondary School Science will not have expected formulas, equations and Math to be introduced in Science, not to mention being required to memorise and use them correctly. We at iMatter Learning Centre are here to make that transition as interesting as possible.
Science is Everywhere:
We continue to reinforce upon our students that Science is everywhere in everyday life, not just for them to score well in their exams but also to understand their world better.
To achieve this vision, we use the following teaching methods and more.
Real life examples to reinforce scientific concepts and principles
Hands-on experimentation to learn Science in a fun & exciting manner
Use of multimedia to illustrate science in daily life
Practice with various data analysis techniques
Mind maps to consolidate learning
Topical tests to assess learning
Mock exams to prepare for exam
Lower Secondary School Science Resources:
We have curated materials from various sources in our Lower Secondary School Science Resources page.
Experiments
Publications
Notes, mind maps and more
Education in Singapore
Singapore’s education system has been steadily getting tougher for our children over the years. More content, more homework, more assessment, more competition and less enjoyment are becoming the norm.
In a typical class size of 30-40 in a normal school, the teacher is hard pressed to complete her syllabus, much less pay close attention to the learning of every child.
Every child can do better if only he has someone (a tutor or mentor) to guide him along. With the right guidance, every child can keep up with his school work, do better in his assessment and even rightfully enjoy his learning journey.
The tutor should be a subject matter expert adopting a suitable teaching approach for the child. She should exhibit patience in her teaching with no question from a child ever considered too stupid to answer. These qualities are what iMatter looks for in our handpicked tutors.

Our Teaching Philosophy
Learn more about our teaching philosophy and why it matters to you.
Scientific knowledge is ever increasing and evolving, so do the requirements of students. More-so, question setters will be increasing the scope and depth of their questions, challenging the limits of their knowledge.
In every science topic at Fun Learners’ School, your child will be strengthened in foundational concepts through Factual Study and Concept Assessment. Only with strong understanding can requirements of OEQ be understood.
Students will be taught in-house curriculum devised according to the latest MOE Science syllabus, and key concepts will be reinforced by providing comprehensive notes and practice questions with detailed explanations. Classes are 1.5 hours long and held once a week.
Say goodbye to tutor-hopping. We can cover all bases. Here’s the Combined Science Tuition that your Sec 1-2 child needs, encompassing all topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
This programme focuses on imparting and developing the skills required to excel at the national examinations. With a renewed and heavier emphasis on concept application in the MOE syllabus and PSLE, our curriculum ensures that our students acquire both the relevant concepts and skills.
