Who Should Attend?
Persons who presently work or plan to work in an area were S.C.B.A. is required. Designated first responders who are required to enter dangerous atmospheres during a rescue or during fire suppression.
Course Content
Certificate of Responsibility and Physical Fitness
Course participation can be physically demanding and may involve risks incidental to the function of such training. By registration and signing our waiver, the attendee and/or their sponsor assume all such risk and responsibility for participation in the programs and have the physical ability to participate. Any existing and/or previous medical problems, or those that may arise as a result of physical activity, must be brought to the instructor’s attention before the commencement of the program.
This course may require the student to wear breathing apparatus. Wearing self-contained breathing apparatus can be physically demanding. If you have any underlying medical conditions, please let your instructor know as soon as possible if there might be any complications in wearing S.C.B.A. and participating in the course.
Western Canada Fire & First Aid (WCFF) and its sister company Saga Universal Training Corp. (SAGA) have been creating and facilitating Occupational Health and Safety compliant safety training programs since 1996 and has two training centres in Edmonton.
Training can also be conducted Onsite at your location. WCFF instructors are trained and certified by Energy Safety Canada (ESC) to deliver, on ESC’s behalf, the Confined Space, Fall Protection, H2S Alive and MEWP End User programs.

This course provides workers with the basic fall prevention information they require to work safely in areas where they may be exposed to fall hazards.
This course complies with the occupational health and safety regulations (RSST) relating to forklift operators, or forklift drivers, and includes theoretical and practical training (article 256.3).
The Working at Heights training program is designed to support consistent and quality training for workers in the province of Manitoba, with respect to core competencies required for working at heights.
This is not necessarily the case! Employers are obligated under the concept of “Due Diligence” to be prepared in the event that this happens. This course establishes the groundwork to start becoming prepared.
