On a daily basis, back-end developers are involved in handling websites as well as communication that takes place between databases and servers. Apart from this, back-end developers are also in charge of creating intuitive, user-friendly prototypes for website building and maintenance.

The primary responsibility of a back-end developer is to compose clear and easily maintainable code. This requires a thorough understanding of cross-platform functionality and compatibility. This code, in turn, assists browsers in communicating with databases that efficiently store, understand, and delete the data.

To ensure all things fall into place, these developers must also perform quality assurance (QA) testing. This encompasses evaluating efficiency and speed, performance and scalability, and making all necessary code changes as per the requirements. They should also be able to troubleshoot issues and resolve them while communicating these to project managers, client teams and stakeholders.
