This hat is reversible, easy to sew and you get to choose from any of the fabrics in the shop. A must wardrobe accessory in our harsh Australian sun. This hat is also a great travel companion as it can be squashed into your bag or suitcase and still look great on.

Sewing machine in good working order along with its manual
General sewing items like sewing scissors, pins, sewing pencil/taylor chalk, rotary cutter etc
Light lunch
The Studio has two Janome sewing machines available for you should you not have your own. (Please indicate in the comments box at checkout online to reserve a machine for your use.) I can also supply all sewing equipment for you to use during the class.

Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Class fees will be refunded or alternative date offered if the class is cancelled by The Fabric and Felt Studio.
There will be a $30.00 cancellation fee for any cancellation within the 6 days prior to the class with the remaining fee refunded.
Alternatively the class can be gifted to a friend should you not be able to make it.
Should you cancel on the day of the class, no refund will be given.
I’m Shelley Burton and I love helping children and adults discover the joy of creating something beautiful by hand. I offer sewing and quilting classes, felting workshops, unique craft activities for both adults and children and offer magical parties for children (9 years +) in an idyllic bushland setting close to Brisbane CBD.
Our after school classes will introduce a love of sewing to those aged 9 and over, including teenagers. Our students learn a variety of basic skills from hand stitching to machine use and then go on to use that knowledge to create their own project.

Sewing classes are offered by Statewide Sewing Superstore for all skill level.Â
In Sharon’s beginner course, you will learn many techniques including rotary cutting, accurate piecing, perfect pressing, attaching borders with precision and attaching continuous binding. Sharon shares many tips and tricks to enhance your quilt making skills.
For those of you who have never sat at a sewing machine or maybe the last time you sewed was high school. Â This course will cover the absolute basics and have you feeling confident to tackle any project.
