In this beginner class we will cover the essentials to set you up for a successful sewing journey. Get these basics under your belt and before you know it you’ll be making the pants that belt is holding up!
This is a technical workshop, for true beginners and people who have not sewn for a very long time and need a re-introduction to basic skills, that will provide you with lots of knowledge and samples to take home and have as reference!

Rebecca will lead you through the basics of learning to quilt. She has a lot of tips and tricks to make the quilt making process easy and enjoyable. You'll get to choose your own fabrics and learn about design and construction.
Learn to make a basic garment. Designed for the individual who has never sewn a garment before, this 5-part class is a great introduction to sewing. Learn how to size yourself, select a pattern, choose fabric, cut out a commercial pattern and then get to work making it!
Overcome your free-motion fears and build confidence in your machine quilting. Set yourself free from straight-line quilting. Learn to perfect your concentrated background fillers such as stippling, meandering, …. and more! All work will be done with your darning or free motion foot.
Learn To Quilt course is offered by A Quilters Nook.
During the 4 weeks you will become a verified sewist! All supplies are included-just bring yourself and your own machine if you choose, however we do have Bernina machines to use in our classroom if you wish to use ours.
