Group classes can be very discouraging. You may feel left behind. Or, you may become frustrated because your instructor goes over things you already know, in order to benefit other students.
Sewing Lessons in Redwood City specializes in one-on-one, personalized sewing lessons as well as serger and pattern drafting lessons.
Our lessons are designed especially for you, with your level of experience, interests and ultimate goal(s) in mind. Whether you are a true beginner or a more experienced sewist, we can (and will) help you succeed.
Whether you would like to show your sewing machine who is boss, learn to sew a straight line, make a garment, know how to read commercial sewing patterns, refashion your closet, alter/mend your clothes or complete a project, we are here to help and would **love** to work with you.
Our main goal is to increase your confidence and build your skills by focusing on progressive development. Our approach is simple, yet effective: you set the pace and we guide you step by step, from beginning to end.
We work with students of all ages and levels, and the lessons are schedule around your scheduled and availability.
Apart from private lessons, we also offer small group workshops, taught by the industry's leading experts.

Bring your own project (machine or hand sewing, embroidery) and Kim will be there to help. If you don't have a project to work on, she’ll help you get started on something fun. We have lots of great patterns and projects to choose from. Please send a message if you'd like to reserve a machine.

Open Sewing Retreat $20 per day with 24 hr. access. Come sew with others and share good times, good food and good ideas. For all classes you will need to bring your own sewing machine and knowledge of how it works and basic sewing supplies.
When in doubt, start at the very beginning. This course is designed to give novice stitchers a comprehensive foundation in machine sewing. Students will graduate with the skills they need to make a project from start to finish, and will gain the confidence to begin tackling anything.
