We follow the Poway Unified School District calendar. Classes are offered in the Fall/Winter and Winter/Spring of each year.
In addition to all our sewing lessons for the kids, we also now offer adult sewing lessons. Come join us, make new friends and learn how to sew together. This class not only teaches basic skills that can "mends" clothes but the connections that you will make in the class will also mend the soul.
One could say that sewing and creativity are in my genes. As a little girl, I remember watching my mother sew pretty little white pajamas for me on her paddle powered Singer Machine.
As a teenager, I have very fond memories of all the beautiful dresses and outfits that my oldest sister lovingly sewed for me. These articles of clothing are heirlooms that one day will be passed down to my lovely daughter.

Even if you've never sewn a stitch, we'll learn all the basics to get you on firm footing for your sewing journey! We'll tackle a few fun and simple projects along the way that will give you confidence while building your skills during your first 4 weeks.
Learn the parts and functions of your machine and become confident in your ability to operate it. You'll leave this class with your first project, a lined drawstring pouch. (There are a lot of basic sewing techniques in this little project that you can apply to future sewing endeavors.)
Learn the basics of sewing! This class will cover both hand-sewing and machine-sewing techniques for practical use in everyday life. We’ll take a look at different types of stitches, as well as how to do minor repairs. You’ll even get to make your very own pillow!
This beginner’s needlepoint class is perfect for first time stitchers and stitchers that need a refresher on the basics! The class will be used to learn basics and to work on a kit called a Stitch n’ Zip.
