Here at the Haute Couture Academy of Fashion, Fine Arts & Design, we teach sewing from the most basic of beginner levels all the way up to the art of a professional design level.
Our students range in age from seven to seventy-seven. There are many different reasons why someone would want to learn how to sew. Some just wish to learn how to make and alter clothing for themselves and their families, while others want to become professional seamstresses and tailors and open their own tailoring/design businesses; and lastly.
There are those who wish to pursue fashion design or fashion related careers in a university/college setting, and they require top notch entrance portfolios as well as a strong and prior knowledge of design and sewing in order to gain acceptance and succeed in the fashion industry.
No matter your reasons for wanting to learn how to sew, and no matter what level you wish to pursue it to, you can be assured that the Haute Couture Academy of Fashion, Fine Arts & Design is your very best choice for learning. We offer a larger variety of sewing programmes year round than any other sewing school in Toronto and the GTA and our instructors are all top notch!

It is our personal goal to ensure that each and every student we teach leaves us with confidence in his/her artistic abilities as well as confidence in his/herself and his/her abilities as a valuable contributor to today’s design industry.
We do this by offering our students small, semi-private classes and workshops where instructor:student ratios are small and student learning is optimal, and by ensuring that all of our instructors are experienced and trained, industry-proven professionals in their fields, as well as excellent inspirational mentors and role models.
Create your own heirloom while learning the A-Z of quilting in this 8-session class. Start by choosing your fabrics with our assistance. (Fabrics must be purchased from Rose Cottage.) Six different blocks each teach you fundamental piecing skills.
You can take a custom curriculum based on your sewing and design profile. Using a mix of short term classes, workshops, and 1-on-1 instruction, you can learn new skills personalizing your path to sewing with confidence.
In this 3 hour workshop, students will put their newly learned sewing skills into practice by sewing up this useful mid size tote, complete with roomy exterior pockets and wide shoulder straps.
Uncover tips and techniques for fitting and sew with Ron Collins! Go home with patterns altered just for you. Is it time to liberate some of those fabrics you are afraid to cut into? With Ron by your side and you working on whatever you want, he will teach you some time saving techniques
