Spool of Thread offers a range of sewing lessons, from students who have never sewed before (Sewing Machine 101) to more advanced students taking our Free Range Slacks or Hollyburn Skirt.
Spool of Thread Sewing Lounge opened in the spring of 2010 to create a space for Vancouver’s sewists to learn, share and find beautiful materials with other sewists in the community.

This course is forĀ kids aged 8-15 who know the basics of sewing. We will go over the basics on the first day, but it is highly recommended that they already have some sewing knowledge.Ā
We love sewing for kids. You can really go to town and get funky with your designs!Ā Join our four part series designing and sewing childrenās clothes. This course will completely change your outlook on buying new clothes for kids!
With this class and just a bit of practice you will master this new element and learn how to create a perfect inset circle, one quarter circle at a time. This blue moon quilt will look gorgeous in your home!
Once a week for 4 weeks learn how to read a pattern, cut your fabrics, and put together a complete baby quilt.
