Classes are semi-private to private, although you’re encouraged to schedule with a group of friends! Our classes are driven by each student’s project and needs to ensure that everyone gets the amount of attention needed to fully understand and complete their project.
Meet Erica
Hello, my name is Erica, and I am the founder of A Needle N Thread in Spring, Texas. We are a mother-daughter team that has over 60 total years of sewing experience. With this vast range of experience and our love of sewing, we were thrilled with the idea of sharing this love with others. Here in the shop we teach sewing classes, but we also do custom quilting/long arm work, and sell fabric and sewing notions!
We want you to learn how to sew and feel confident in being able to create projects that you may see on Pinterest, on the web or in stores with relative ease. Come in and take one of our classes, stop by for some friendly advice on one of your own projects, or shop our selection of hand selected fabrics. On our online shop we have for sale a variety of quilt, garment, and bag patterns to choose from in addition to fabric and sewing notions. We want to be your local quilting classroom and a resource for your sewing needs!

In the Children’s Sewing Class, beginning and intermediate students will learn how to use their machine, take measurements , lay out and cut fabric, read a pattern, understand the pattern directions, finish seams and learn sewing techniques. Students will advance at their own pace.
