Sewing classes are offered by The New Craft House for all skill level. Our classes cover a wide range of sewing techniques and projects, from Bra Making to Jeans, Pattern Cutting to Overlocking. All of our workshops are held in our East London shop, just around the corner from Broadway Market.
It is a light, modern space kitted out with PFAFF machines and all of the tools you need to finish your project to a high standard. Class sizes range from 6-8 people depending on the project and classes are taught by one of our specialist teachers.
We are a sewing workshop studio and designer deadstock fabric shop based in Hackney, East London. We run a wide range of specialist sewing workshops alongside beginner classes, have a look at our upcoming schedule here to book.
All of the fabric we sell is deadstock, sourced directly from designers. This fabric is all leftover after they've finished creating their collections and would otherwise go to waste.
We also stock deadstock haberdashery items from the same designers. In all of our classes we use PFAFF machines and sell the whole PFAFF machine range, you can shop those here.
A one day workshop to discover the techniques used in couture sewing. This will include underlining, balanced darts and interfaced hems and seam finishes. Discover which underlining to use to create structure and body.
All our adult classes are mixed ability and mixed project. Every student has the opportunity to make what they want to make with expert guidance and support. This means we can have a wedding dress being made along side piped cushions! The classes are small between 3-5 participants.
Sewing workshop is offered by Beth Morris Workshops for adults. Each workshop is 1.5 hours and costs £15 per session. Fees are paid per term. Materials are included. All abilities welcome especially complete beginners (and improvers will always improve!
Our dedicated classroom is fitted out with the latest machines and equipment for your enjoyment.
Wet felting creates a background of wool. Dry Felting is the craft of using barbed needles to matt wool into pictures and creative shapes. Embellishing with stitch, making felted vessels and beads can all be covered in this whole day of colour and creation.
