Sewing groups or courses differ from each location. Some offer one off special courses others are more sociable weekly meetings.

Karen & Susie are both experienced textile artists and set up The Textile Workshop as a haven for supplies and classes for all kinds of sewing, textile art and crafts. The classes offered are for both beginners and advanced students across a wide variety of subjects. They also run children’s classes and hire out their training room to run your own craft club
During this course you will learn new sewing skills under the guidance of a professional Lecturer.
Sewing classes are offered by The New Craft House for all skill level. Our classes cover a wide range of sewing techniques and projects, from Bra Making to Jeans, Pattern Cutting to Overlocking.
Come and learn a range of basic sewing techniques - seams and their uses, zips and their uses and inserting a zip, decorative stitches and a tote bag project.
This class is perfect for total beginners. You will be shown the basics of the sewing machine; how to thread a machine, wind on a bobbin, sew straight lines, turn corners and finish seams. You will produce a cushion and you can decorate it too if you wish.
This is an intermediate level class to attend you will need to have good knowledge of your Overlock or attended Karen Delahunty’s Basic Overlock Class.
