I supply all the materials you will need for your first few lessons, so it’s a great way to give it a try before spending any money on tools & materials. My machines are a modern & simple Toyota model.
I recommend a 2 hour lesson to get you started. This gives you time to get familiar with the setting up of a machine before starting to have fun with the different stitches to create something! That may be all you wish to do before experimenting on your own at home.
The sewing studio is a bright & tranquil space where you can learn to sew in peace or get creative with a few friends, whatever your age or skill level. If you have never used a sewing machine before (or not for a while).
Then café sew|ci|ety offers a new kind of space in which to learn. The lessons & workshops are designed to teach you new skills whilst having fun making something beautiful & practical to take away.
Work on your own choice of project or on Carole's choice of project. Please book a seat to avoid disappointment.
Sewing workshop is offered by Beth Morris Workshops for adults. Each workshop is 1.5 hours and costs £15 per session. Fees are paid per term. Materials are included. All abilities welcome especially complete beginners (and improvers will always improve!
We can chat through how classes work and what projects you will sew. Once you are ready to start, we’ll check availability and book you in to your first machine sewing class! Classes run Wednesdays to Fridays with limited space on Saturdays.
