Shipboard Safety Series - Hand Protection course is offered by Wavelink. How to protect your hands? Most seafarers will give the answer: "Wear gloves" However, gloves do not protect us from all harms.
Moreover, not all gloves are made the same, therefore it is essential when selecting gloves, it is imperitive to select proper gloves. This module aims to provide learners with better awareness on protecting our hands whilst doing the various task onboard.
Wavelink Maritime Institute (WMI) was established in 1 October 2007 for the purpose of providing quality and cost-effective maritime education and training to SMOU members and the maritime industry.
WMI extends its training network through continually maintaining global strategic partnerships with organisations both in Singapore and from the region including China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines, delivering an extensive range of maritime courses.

The Basic Sailing Course gives you a head start in pursuing an interest in dinghy sailing. Using a Laser Pico which is a 2-men craft where you can take turns in assuming the role of being a helmsman or crew together with a partner.
This course will help engineers from shipyards and equipment/service providers renew their knowledge and engineering skills on the latest decarbonisation technologies. This course will also equip ship operators and middle managers, including ship owners and charterers
