Welcome to Deaf Active
We are a not-for-profit, tirelessly dedicated to promoting inclusive youth and play services for D/deaf children and young people, CODA’s (Children Of Deaf Adults), Hard of Hearing children and their hearing family members and friends.
We are a vibrant young charity working to support, promote and enhance the lives of D/deaf children and young people throughout the boroughs of Merseyside. Examples of what we offer include:
Fitness
We work in partnership with Merseyside Society for Deaf People; Deaf Active and MSDP work together to provide one-to-one sessions, small group sessions and fitness classes with scope to provide such activities via outreach or venue specific training.
Courses
With Deaf Active, sign language is a language for all ages. We do not only teach the standard Level 1 & Level 2 Signature approved British Sign language courses, but we also tailor make our classes to suit the needs of companies, organisations and business, both in the public and private sector.
Charity
The charities we are lucky enough to work with include but are not limited to, Children in Need, The National Lottery Fund, The Tudor Trust, Award For All, Liverpool City Council, Priority Youth Project, John Moores Foundation and Postcode Neighbourhood Trust.
