Guided by your instructor you’ll make one personalised, handstamped bar charm, which will be attached by jump rings to either a fine trace chain bracelet or necklace. Please note that you will make EITHER a bracelet OR necklace, not both.
You will hand stamp your choice of wording - upto four words (maybe more depending upon length of words) .You will have access to all our different textures, to create a wonderful texture on the reverse of your bar charm.
You will learn the process of making jewellery with silver clay from start to finish. The first part of the day focusing upon how to handle, roll, shape and texture it, before drying and refining. The second part of the day will focus upon firing, polishing and learning how to patina. Your jewellery will be ready to take home with you on the day!
Precious Metal Silver clay is made up of very fine particles of recycled silver, water and a non toxic binder. When your piece is fired, the binder burns away, leaving you with solid fine silver. The process is truly magical. Art Clay fine (99.9%) silver will be used during this workshop.
You may get a little dusty, so we’ll provide an apron for you to wear on the day. Please don’t wear open toed shoes or sandals. This workshop is aimed at those with no little or no experience of working with Silver Clay.
