Course Details

People think singing is an easy thing to do. For some people it may come easy, but for others it can be incredibly difficult and frustrating. For students to sing freely it takes time, practice and confidence, and they must feel comfortable and safe in their surroundings, so creating the right environment is a very important part of our job. Our lessons take place at the Derringer Music Complex which is a purposely designed and built music facility.

At Leader Street School of Music our objective is to assist you with finding and building your voice, whether you have a career in music or are just wanting to learn for the fun of singing.

Singers all have different voices so rather than taking a general approach our lessons are tailored to suit students individual needs. We take incredible consideration in becoming more acquainted with our student's voices so that we can apply exercise's specifically designed for their voices.

In the first lesson, we'll run through a few fundamentals and have a 'sing-song' so we can identify and become more acquainted with your voice and make an underlying evaluation. When we know your voice and what regions we have to zero in on we'll assemble a strategy that will work for you.

Individual Singing Lessons

People often ask why ExitLeft students appear fearless when they perform. From an early age all our students are expected to learn together in a group whenever possible. It is easier for developing students to pick up musical technique when they are learning with and from each other.
