Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS) - Refresher

All Veritas courses have been compiled with years of experience in health and safety and knowledge of the industry they relate to. All course presentations will endeavour to meet the individual objectives of the organisation and needs of the course participants.

Aims of the Course

• To provide construction industry supervisors with health and safety knowledge

• To comply with the requirements of the CSCS scheme

• To provide information for construction supervisors on their legal responsibilities and the organisations responsibilities

• To give examples of good health and safety management for the first line manager in the construction industry

Course Content

• Accident Causation - Health Hazards – Working at Height – Health and Safety Law – Plant and Equipment – Fire – Manual Handling – welfare – Confined spaces – Electricity – Excavations – Safe Systems of Work

Attendees

• The course follows the syllabi of the CITB Site Safety Plus, it is designed for supervisors

• and all first line managers with health and safety duties and responsibilities.

• The course on successful completion enables attendees to apply for their CSCS card.

Assessment

• Course attendees must pass a multiple choice examination and in-course short projects.

Certification

• A CITB certificate will be issued to all successful course participants.
