Course Overview

The Situational and Tactical Communications (SATCom) workshop is intended for employees who are working with the public, especially those required to enforce rules, regulations or laws. But also for anyone who has to deal with difficult people in their professional lives.

Learners will gain skills and knowledge to understand how conflicts may arise and how to have a Safety Mindset to help take care of themselves and those around them. Maintaining a professional focus when it comes to problem solving skills, patience, attentiveness and emotional intelligence is examined along with clear and positive communication skills.

Learners will be able to build on their existing Listening and Questions skills through a deeper dive into how these skills can help in conflict situations.
