With a rich history of construction training at the venue, the Sheffield Skills Academy opened its doors to a new chapter on the 4th of August 2019.
Originally built and developed by Henry Boot in the 1970’s to train and develop their own site staff in disciplines including brickwork, roofing, carpentry and joinery and painting and decorating. The centre has over the years, trained hundreds if not thousands of individuals in construction trades.
A significant and ongoing investment has been made within the academy to re-purpose the buildings and facilities to provide first-class teaching and training environments to help develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the clients who are referred to the academy.
The Construction Management and Construction Safety course teaches you everything on the topic thoroughly from scratch so you can achieve a professional certificate for free to showcase your achievement in professional life.

It is a legal requirement to manage the activities of contractors on site. Poor management of contractors is likely to expose both contractors and your employees to unacceptable risks, cause business interruption and increase the likelihood of accidents or ill health.
Construction projects involve large capital sums, and strong commercial management is essential to success. The construction contract monitors, controls and administers the project and also defines the relationship between client, consultant and contractor.
