Our courses combine practical skills with creative, discover the joy of designing and making what you design by your own hands, feel confidence and enjoy the excitements of fashion.

Students design and making the real customized clothing for themselves. We're not Sewing-only courses, WHY fashion provides introduction to fashion alongside lessons on how to sketch a fashion design, draft a pattern for your design, sewing techniques for finishing your projects.
Projects change each season
Students of all ages can return again and again to continue their fashion design and sewing. WHY fashion provides three levels classes to meet all levels' need. The projects change each season of each level, you may learn how to design and sewing a "tiered skirts" of beginner level in this spring, and you can come back for "Bell skirts" for fall season at the same level.
Skills
We teach you all the skills from fashion sketch to make a clothing. Fashion sketch skills make your imagination to be the design on the paper, pattern making skill make you know how to draft a pattern for you design, and fit you perfectly, sewing techniques help you know how to stitch all the fabric pieces together. Additional, we teach the fabrics and color theory during all the classes to help you pick up the right fabric for your design.

Don't worry you have no experience for design and sewing. Our curriculum is designed for you all, specialized classed for kids and adults. If your kids who’s crazy for sketching imaginative outfits, they would make their imagination to be real clothing, If you’ve always wanted to make custom-made clothing that fits perfectly, you would learn how to make it, or if you just love the idea of using your hands to create something of your own, our approach makes it easy!

Our teacher combines real-world experience with specialized training and bring kindness and empathy along with energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. She is a professor with PHD degree in fashion design and pattern making, over 20years teaching experience, supervised over hundreds of college students and adults.

WHY fashion provides high quality fabrics and accessories needed in all classes, and all the sewing and pattern making tools used by the students. All supplies are included in the class fee! Students take home and keep everything they've made in the class.
You will learn Rag Quilting basics while making a warm & cozy quilt for Winter. This is a quilt-as-you-go pattern & easy to adjust to fit your needs. Stop by the store & get yours to do some pre-cutting before class.
