The basics are easy and anyone can learn. Sewing is a valuable skill which gives you the freedom to create, mend or alter your own clothing, accessories and soft furnishings.
Hand Sewing classes are offered by Fabrications for all skill level. At Fabrications we offer a comprehensive range of textile based classes to help you start or progress your creative journey. All our tutors are not only practicing makers with a wealth of hands on knowledge in their craft.

Our introductory sewing machine workshops cover all the basics of sewing techniques and the use of sewing machines, including needles, tensions, threads, stitches, plus darts, machine gathers, facings and under stitching, plus princess seams.
Come and learn a range of basic sewing techniques - seams and their uses, zips and their uses and inserting a zip, decorative stitches and a tote bag project.
