Social Media Content Creation (Level 3)

The field of social media offers excellent employment opportunities as the world of digital marketing becomes as critical aspect of any business. Media production is the art of visual storytelling through film and sound. You will learn the skills of shooting, producing, and editing video, as well as the basics of lighting and sound production.

Entry Requirements

• You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and maths. Alternatively you will need a Level 2 Diploma in a related subject at a merit or distinction grade.

Delivery and Assessment

• This programme of study is totally assessed by coursework.  You will be assessed in a variety of ways including your contribution to: practical work, presentations, essays, journals, blogs, tutor interviews, group discussions, short films, storyboards, App designs, visual images, sketchbooks and live film events.

Progression Opportunities

• This course leads into a variety of higher education courses or an apprenticeship.  Most new employees who work in the media industry have a degree or higher but if you choose to look for employment after this course you will find that your digital interactive media skills portfolio will aid you in any media related job.
